Chateau Vrchlabi is in the centre of the popular town of Vrchlabi. The chateau is full of character. The town nestles at the foot of the Giant Mountains. It is often referred to as the 'Gate to the Giant Mountains'. The chateau is surrounded by an atmospheric and tranquil park. It is next to an old castle and a short distance from the Giant Mountains. The mountain scenery is beautiful. You can enjoy excellent skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing in winter at the Vrchlabi-Herlikovice, Spindleruv Mlyn and Janske Lazne ski-areas. In summer these areas are splendid for walking, cycling and all kinds of outdoor activities. If you like to play golf, there are two superb golf courses less than 20 km away. You can do all your daily shopping in Vrchlabi. The town is around 100 km north of Prague. A visit to the historic 'Golden City', capital of the Czech Republic, is a must.
