Casteljaloux lies approx. 98 km. south-east of Bordeax and is a genuine, friendly tourist place in where there is a lot to do. Besides the many seeing sights in the cultural area, the environment of Casteljaloux also has an 18-holes gold course and 6 tennis courts. It also has approx. 100 shops, where you can nicely shop. Refreshment you can find in and at the Le Lac de Clarens lake of approx. 17 ha. which lies 2 km. from the centre. Here you find several sandy beaches on one side (of which one is guarded), a golf course, restaurant, beach bar, mini golf, beach volleyball field, children's playground, riding school and kayak rental, water bicycles and surf boards. On the other side a thermal source. Here one built a modern and high standard thermal centre in where you find a.o. several sauna's, baths, Jacuzzi's and a hammam. You can also use Casteljaloux as a starting point for several hiking trips, of a boat trip on the Garonne or the Lot. Holiday park Demeures du Lac lies directly at the Lac de Clarens and a nice (fine) sandy beach, in the middle of a forest of approx. 30 ha. It is a car free park, what means that you have to park your car on the central, closed parking place at the entrance of the park.
