A wonderful vineyard parc located on the Sommires heights between Camargue, the Mediterranean Sea and the Cvennes. Ideally placed for exploring the many attractions of the Languedoc region, Domaine de Massereau occupies an enviable countryside vista amongst the vines of the famous Massereau estate. Providing a warm and friendly welcome, the parc offers many facilities including a swimming pool complex, a beautifully authentic restaurant offering pizzas cooked on an open fire, and excellent wine from the parcs own vineyard.
Camping Domaine de Massereau is located on the estate of the same name, a few kilometres south from the small city of Sommires and just 35 km from Montpellier. Part of the prestigious Castels chain, the parc owners have created a unique theme, based around the stunning wine producing chateau. Guests are able to take guided tours around the chateau and vineyard and purchase a wide variety of wine that the estate produce every year. The pitches are located amongst tranquil and picturesque oak trees and the facilities including a heated swimming pool and parc restaurant, will appeal to families with young children. Planned for 2009 is a new indoor spa, jacuzzi and sauna, and in May, June and September, you will get a free 45 minute session when you spend more than 3 nights on parc (small charge otherwise). Off parc, try trekking at the Camargue national park or take a ride along the 25 miles of purpose built cycle track which runs from Sommieres through the parc itself.
