The nature park Cabo de Gata is a special region east of Almeria and with places like Njar, Cabo de Gata and San José absolutely worth a visit. And besides Almeria you could visit the old harbour town of Cartagena, the university town of Murcia, or even make a day trip to Granada with the fabulous Alhambra.
